Auto Barons Mansion Bus Tour
Featuring: The Ford House and Meadow Brook Hall
Our first stop takes us to the Edsel and Eleanor Ford Home for a one hour guided tour. Discover the inspiration of Ford House, where picturesque architecture surrounded by the beautiful flower of naturalist-style landscapes take you inside one of America’s prominent automotive families. Offering a one-of-a-kind look into the private lives of Edsel Ford — the only son of Henry and Clara Ford — his wife Eleanor, and their children, a guided tour of their historic lakeside estate brings you into the same rooms they called home.
After about an hour drive north, we’ll arrive for our lunch and tour at Meadow Brook Hall. Before we start the tour, we will enjoy a catered lunch in a magnificent setting. Then it’s off to a guided tour of Meadow Brook Hall taking visitors on a journey through the three main living levels of the historic mansion with a knowledgeable docent guide. Learn the incredible story of the pioneering Dodge and Wilson families and marvel at the grand spaces and beautiful details that makes Meadow Brook unique.
