Taste of the Sunrise Side

Get on the interest list below. We will contact you when the trip goes on sale!

Join Davison Travelers as John takes them on a tour to get a Taste of the Sunrise Side (Northeast Michigan).  We start the tour off with an all you can eat breakfast buffet at Krzysiak’s House Restaurant in Bay City, Michigan.   I promise you won’t go away hungry as you enjoy a wholesome Sunrise Side breakfast.  Then we head 25 miles north to Wilson’s Cheese Shoppe, located in Pinconning, Michigan, is the state’s oldest cheese shop, operating since 1939 and famous for its signature aged Pinconning cheese. Founded by the daughter of the creator of the original Pinconning formula, it offers a wide variety of, aged up to 17 years, grass-fed, and specialty cheeses.  After that, we’ll head just north to Fairview Organic Maple Syrup Farm.  Tim will show you the maple syrup process and you’ll have time to buy some of their delicious organic maple syrup.    Now we’ll work our way back south to The Farmer’s Creamery.  It is an Amish-owned and operated dairy and farm kitchen located in Mio, Michigan. Known for its high-quality, 100% grass-fed A2/A2 dairy products, yogurt smoothies, cottage cheese, and hand-dipped ice cream.  In addition to their dairy products, you just have to get some of the freshly baked breads (including spelt), pies, cookies, cinnamon rolls, and sweet rolls.   We’re not done yet as we head just a few more miles south the Rose Valley Winey, in Rose City. The winery produces approximately 25 varieties of wine ranging from dry reds to sweet whites, hard cider, as well as unique specialty options.  You will choose two of the following choices:  glass of wine, wine slushie, hard cider, or non-alcoholic slushie. Now get your sweet tooth fix on at Sherni’s Candies in Whittemore. Brad Hasty has been in the chocolate business for over 40 years and it’s now in it’s 3rd Generation. You just have to try the chocolate covered potato chips and raspberries. Our final stop of the day will be at Iva’s Famous Chicken Dinners voted  as Michigan’s best chicken by MLive.  Here you’ll enjoy a family style chicken dinner with all the fixings and end the meal with some ice cream. Now in it’s 4th generation from it’s humble beginnings of when Iva served local oil riggers to now serving people from all across Michigan and beyond!
