Windmill Island Gardens (1st Stop)

A palette of color awaits you as you wind along the entrance to Holland’s treasured island. Tour five stories of the DeZwaan windmill, the only authentic Dutch windmill operating in the United States. From the top, you can survey the park’s 36 acres of manicured gardens and natural areas. Costumed guides, an Amsterdam street organ, a hand-painted Dutch carousel, several Dutch exhibits and replicas, and a gift shop stocked with Dutch goodies and local souvenirs will complete your visit.

Nelis’ Dutch Village (2nd Stop)

Step back into the Netherlands of over 100 years ago, on a day when a festival came to town. Within this happy village, your family has many entertainment choices including Dutch Dancing, wooden shoe carving, rides, games, friendly farm animals, photo ops, food, drink and shopping. From kids to grandparents, the memories are endless.

Veldheer Tulip Farm (Final Stop)

Holland’s only tulip farm is ablaze with acres of tulips from late April to mid-May. Veldheer farms began in 1950 when Vern Veldheer planted a couple hundred tulip bulbs as a hobby.  Now, Veldheer’s plants around 5 million tulip bulbs each year! In addition to tulips, there are several other imported flowers and perennials for you to enjoy and even purchase for your own garden.  They also have Delftware and Wooden Shoe Factory.

6:00 AM – Pick-up at Meijer, Davison – Lot H (Bus Departs at 6:30 AM)
9:00 AM to 10:30 AM – Windmill Island
10:45 AM to 1:15 PM – Dutch Village
1:30 PM to 3:00 PM – Veldheer Tulip Farm
5:30 PM – Return to Davison, MI
