We will start our tour off by visiting the Tawas Pointe Lighthouse on the Tawas Point State Park. This is a historic\, operational lighthouse known as the “Cape Cod of the Midwest”. The tower\, featuring a white tower and red brick keeper’s house\, offers 85-step climbs for views of Lake Huron.  The next stop takes us to downtown East Tawas. While here you can enjoy a lunch on your own at one of many restaurants from G’s Pizzeria\, Jack’s\, Barnacle Bill’s\, or Mexican food at Mango’s.  After that stop in to the old Ben Franklin for some shopping or grab chocolate at Village Chocolatier or gourmet pickles from Freakin’ Pickles. If there’s time take a stroll grab an ice cream cone and walk the Tawas Pier.  Now we start heading home and on the way\, we’ll stop for wine tasting at Modern Craft Winery in AuGres.
