SUMMARY:Detroit Auto Show 2027
DESCRIPTION:Detroit Auto Show 2027\nFeaturing: The Original Buddy’s Pizza and Sanders Chocolate Shoppe\nSold Out! – – Get on the interest list below… \nJoin Davison Travelers on January 16th as we head down to the Detroit Auto Show.  Detroit was the birthplace of the American Automotive Industry and the celebration of this industry started with the very first Detroit Auto Show back in 1907 at a beer garden near the Belle Isle Bridge\, inspired by early European auto shows.    In 1989 it became known as the  North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) to match its international status before returning to the Detroit Auto Show in 2025.  Enjoy over 40 major automotive brands\, featuring interactive floor displays from global makers and domestic favorites.  Also you will enjoy test track experiences and other special attractions.  After the Auto Show\, we’ll head to where the Original Buddy’s Pizza first started and Detroit’s original Detroit Style Pizza. \nThe Auto Industry shaped this iconic pizza.  In 1946\, August “Gus” Guerra and employee Concetta “Connie” Piccinato looked for heavy-duty baking vessels to create a thick\, Sicilian-style pizza at their neighborhood tavern\, Buddy’s Rendezvous\, on Detroit’s Eastside. Because food-grade rectangular cake pans did not exist at the time\, they repurposed industrial “blue steel” utility trays obtained from local automotive plants.  We’re not done yet.  Our final stop will take us to Sander’s Chocolate Factory in Clinton Township.  You can take home a Detroit original bumpy cake or a different kind of chocolate treat to have a sweet ending to an amazing day. \nDate: Saturday\, January 16th\, 2027 \nPrice: $99.00 Per Person \nTrip Includes:– Round trip motor coach transportation to Detroit\, MI– Trip Escorted by John Henry at Route 23 Tours– Admission and Free time at the Detroit Auto Show– Lunch at The Original Buddy’s Pizza location\n(Includes: 2 big slices of Detroit Style pizza\, cheese bread\, salad\, soft drinks\, tax\, and gratuity)\n– Stop for a sweet treat at Sander’s Chocolate Factory \nItinerary:\n8:15 AM – Pick-up at Meijer\, Davison – Lot H\n10:00 AM to 12:45 PM – Huntington Place (Detroit Auto Show)\n1:00 PM to 2:30 PM – The Original Buddy’s Pizza Location (lunch included in price)\n3:00 PM to 3:30 PM – Sander’s Chocolate Factory (Get your Bumpy Cake or a different tasty treat)\n4:45 PM – Return to Davison\, MI \nRegistration Deadline:  December 21st\, 2026\n– Limited seating available!\n–  Cancellation before December 21st will not require a replacement\, but will incur the cancellation fee.\n– Cancellations on and after November 21st to January 12th will only be refunded if a replacement is found.\n–  No cancellations or changes can be made after January 12th.\n– There is a $25.00 per person re-booking and cancellation fee if cancelled before December 17th.\n–  If you wish not to incur the fee\, you are welcome to find your own replacement and notify us of the attendee changes. \nBOOKING INFORMATION: (Please read)\n1.
