Join Davison Travelers as we head to the premier gaming destination in West Michigan and the Grand Rapids Lantern Festival. When you arrive to Gun Lake Casino you will get a player’s card with $10.00 in free play and $10.00 in food credit. Located in Wayland, Gun Lake Casino features over 2500 of the newest slot machines, sports betting, 50 table games, multiples restaurants and lounges, and a high limits room for an elevated experience. After we depart Gun Lake Casino, we’ll head over to John Ball Zoo. The Grand Rapids Lantern Festival is an annual spring event at the John Ball Zoo that features hundreds of large, handcrafted Asian lanterns along a one-mile, evening walking trail. The festival celebrates the connection between wildlife and Asian culture and is the only event of its kind in Michigan.

Itinerary:
12:30 PM – Pick-up at Meijer, Davison – Lot H
3:00 PM to 7:15 PM – Gun Lake Casino
8:00 PM to 9:30 PM – John Ball Zoo (Lantern Festival)
11:30 PM – Return at Meijer, Davison – Lot H
Trip Note:
The goal is to include the Latern Festival at John Ball Zoo. They do not offer group sales, so I will need to purchase tickets when they go on sale in packs of 4 online. This is a very popular event and I will do my best to get enough tickets to run the Lantern Festival. In the event the Lantern Festival is not available or I’m unable to secure tickets, we will run the Gun Lake Casino trip by itself. I will be working hard to secure the tickets though and I have spoke to people at the Zoo, so I’m pretty confident we should be able to secure tickets for the Lantern Festival if I’m on it right away.
